BASEBALL: CB East eases past North Penn
For Montgomery Media / MARK C. PSORAS North Penn's Brad Bertucci tags out Central Bucks East's Brandon Birkhead on a play at third during Tuesday's Suburban One Continental Conference action.
The North Penn baseball team climbed out of one hole Tuesday afternoon. Central Bucks East, however, was not going to allow the Knights a chance to make a second rally.
After the Patriots plated four runs in the top of the first inning, North Penn bounced back to take a 5-4 lead in the second. But East had the final say in the Suburban One Continental Conference matchup, scoring the final six runs — three coming on Ben Hauser’s home run in the sixth — to best the host Knights 10-5 at North Penn High School.
