SOFTBALL: Spring-Ford battles past Methacton into final
Tim Hughes was unsure as to how his young Spring-Ford softball team would react to the pressure involved with the Pioneer Athletic Conference Final Four playoffs.
With just three seniors on the team, the Rams are indeed a mighty young squad. But they still played well enough to earn the second seed for the PAC-10 playoffs that began Tuesday at Ram Park.
Pitted against No. 3 Methacton and ace left-handed pitcher Jordan Prutzer, Spring-Ford played a solid all-around game and came away with a 5-2 victory over the Warriors in the first game of a doubleheader.
