BASEBALL: Downingtown West edges Wissahickon
Pitching was at a premium Monday afternoon at Downingtown West in the first-round District One Class AAAA playoff game between the sixth-seeded Whippets and No. 11 Wissahickon.
Fortunately for the Whippets, junior Sean Esch was a little bit better than the Trojans’ Randy Frankenfield as Downingtown West moved on with a 2-0 victory. The Whippets will travel to face No. 3 Methacton on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
