SOFTBALL: Lansdale Catholic falls to St. Hubert

It was the bottom of the seventh and Lansdale Catholic was trailing St. Hubert 1-0.

To make it more difficult, St. Hubert pitcher Erica Ragazzone was pitching a perfect game. She had retired 18 straight hitters, 10 of them by strikeouts.

Adding to the tension, the Crusaders had not lost a Philadelphia Catholic League game this season and St. Hubert was right behind them in the standings. The Bambies really needed the win.

Well, St. Hubert got the win, 1-0, but Ragazzone didn’t get the perfect game nor did she even get the no-hitter. Lansdale Catholic leadoff hitter Amanda Bradley made sure of that.
