After enduring nearly seven weeks of making bad situations worse from guys expected to work in the seven inning or earlier, the Phillies optioned Raul Valdes to Triple-A Lehigh Valley Friday afternoon and recalled right-hander B.J. Rosenberg to try his hand as a long reliever.
