GIRLS LACROSSE: Upper Dublin holds off Springfield

Montgomery Media / BOB RAINES Springfield's Juli Cardamone sprints down field with the ball during Thursday's Suburban One American Conference game against Upper Dublin.
To this point in the season, Upper Dublin was undefeated in the Suburban One American Conference going into its game with Springfield. The way the 7-3 Spartans came out on the first half, it looked as though the Lady Cardinals would be in danger of falling for the first time. However, a strong second half proved that the best teams can win in a variety of different ways.

Upper Dublin held on to win a stressful, high scoring 14-12 game over Springfield. Despite Springfield’s high intensity and efficiency in the first half, the Lady Cardinals kept it close the entire game and pulled away at the end. In a game filled with good offense, suspect defense and high emotion, those two sides proved to be amongst the best in the conference.
