BASEBALL: Pennridge topples Great Valley
Pennridge (10th seed) traveled to Great Valley (7th seed) Monday afternoon for a first round District One Class AAAA showdown. The Rams opted to go with their ace Evan Myers, who pitched a strong performance going 5 2/3 allowing two hits and three runs.
Offensively the Rams were led by centerfielder and leadoff hitter Danny Shane, who finished the game 4 for 5 with three runs scored and two RBI, including a huge two-out two RBI double to tack on some insurance runs in the seventh inning. Pennridge emerged victorious 7-3.
