As Great Valley’s lead kept getting bigger and bigger in the first half, Abington, which was completely taken out of the game from the very start, could only watch as its season came to a screeching halt.
The Ghosts went down 4-0 after one quarter and trailed 6-2 at the half in what was a one-sided affair, as the Patriots, the Ches-Mont League champions, got past Abington, 9-5, in a District One Class AAAA second round playoff at Great Valley on Thursday evening.
