SOFTBALL: St. Basil's Eberhard no-hits Lower Moreland
Throwing a no-hitter is always impressive, but it’s just that much better when it happens in the district playoffs. Nichole Eberhard put a charge in St. Basil’s district and state hopes with an absolute gem in the mist of the Panther’s 9-0 District One Class AA semifinal win over Lower Moreland on Wednesday.
“I was a little concerned going in, only because we haven’t played in 13 days,” St. Basil coach Steve Sonneborn said. “It kind of showed early, but I thought [Eberhard] was on today. What she did was great, what’s why she is All-Academy.”
