VOLLEYBALL: Souderton upends Pennridge
Every year the long list of goals for the Souderton boys volleyball team includes making the state playoffs, challenge for the District One title, win a league title and beat rival Pennridge. For seniors like Tim Jones, Thursday night was the first time they were able to knock off the Rams.
In the Indians seniors’ last regular-season match against the defending state runner-ups, Jones and junior Evan Miller led the offensive charge and celebrated a 3-2 (24-26, 25-13, 23-25, 25-21, 15-9) Suburban One Continental Conference victory.
“As a team we have decided to always leave it all out on the court,” Jones said. “If we keep this intensity up I know we can beat anybody.”
