Wissahickon student-athletes sign National Letters of Intent
Wissahickon athletics have been known for producing some of the best teams with some of the best athletes in the Suburban One League for the past several years. And on Thursday afternoon, a number of athletes from some of those teams had all of their hard work pay off for them, as Wissahickon hosted its final College Announcement Day of the year.
The event, which was hosted in the high school, had athletes come down to the school’s main office to sign copies of their respective National Letters of Intent to attend the college of their choice, where they will continue their athletic careers.
A number of athletes from the Wissahickon baseball, football, girls’ basketball, boys’ lacrosse and girls’ swimming teams were honored on College Announcement Day, as each athlete has been actively recruited by at least one school for their talents in their respective sport.
