Softball

Germantown Friends 21, Academy New Church 0 (5 innings) – Germantown Friends scored 15 runs in the third inning and defeated Academy New Church 21-0 in a five-inning game on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Lions were no-hit in the losing effort.

Wissahickon 18, Plymouth Whitemarsh 2 (4 innings) – Wissahickon sent 21 batters to the plate in the fourth inning and defeated Plymouth Whitemarsh 18-2 in four innings in a Suburban One American Conference meeting on Tuesday afternoon. The Trojans scattered 13 hits, with Donna Intintolo leading the way with a grand slam, a double, three hits and six RBI. Kellie Gilman went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI, Alex Comonitsky went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run and an RBI and Catlin Grailey went 3-for-3 with three RBIs. Andrea Mazurek hit an RBI triple for Wissahikcon. PW scored one run in the third and one in the fourth. Emma Goodrich allowed two hits in four innings to earn the win.
