GIRLS LACROSSE: CB East eases past Pennridge

On a day when most outdoor sports games were postponed, Central Bucks East and Pennridge faced off during a rainstorm for a Suburban One Continental Conference game at War Memorial Field Monday night.

In the previous meeting between the two teams earlier in the season, the Patriots edged the Rams by one goal. The stage was set for an intense rematch.

“I was excited going in,” Pennridge coach Brie Wolfe said. “We only lost by one last time [we played them] and our girls are doing really well.”

The Patriots played a fundamentally sound game, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. After getting out to an early lead CB East was able to hold on to win the league match-up 12-7
