SOFTBALL: Pioneers rally past Delco Christian in 8
If Christopher Dock’s extra inning comeback win over Delco Christian is an indication of how the Bicentennial League Independence Division is going to go this season, we are in for a wild ride.
In a pitchers’ duel turned shootout, Dock scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh and got the game-winning RBI single from Emma Lewis in a 9-8 eight-inning thriller at Dock. Led by a complete game, 12-strikeout performance on the mound from Lauren Weidler, Dock came back twice to get a win in its first league game and halt Delco’s two-game win streak.
