BASEBALL: Upper Moreland topples Norristown

For Montgomery Media / RICK KAUFFMAN Upper Moreland's Colton Hooker swings at a high fastball in a Suburban One American Conference game against Norristown on Tuesday.
Evan Grimes was nearing the 100-pitch mark in the fifth inning in a 2-2 tie when the wheels came off for Norristown. Coach Vince Elsier pulled Grimes with two men on base and Upper Moreland went on to put six runs on the board in the inning. Norristown came back and scored four runs in the final two innings, but it wasn’t enough.

However, in the 10-6 defeat both Elsier and Upper Moreland coach, Ernie Rehr, had the opposite impressions of their respective teams. Elsier’s optimism in defeat contrasted Rehr’s pessimism in victory.
