BASEBALL: Phillies lose fourth straight

PHILADELPHIA – Charlie Manuel shook things up in his batting order Thursday night. It didn't do anything to end his team's stupefying streak of games without drawing a walk. Nor did it end their losing skid.

Despite getting 13 hits, the Phillies couldn't score enough with those knocks to atone for a John Mayberry Jr. pratfall in the outfield that led to two runs, and a tie-breaking Carlos Beltran opposite-field home run against Mike Adams in the eighth that gave the Cardinals a 4-3 win at Citizens Bank Park.
