SOFTBALL: Christopher Dock eases past New Hope-Solebury
For Montgomery Media / MARK C. PSORAS Christopher Dock's Lauren Weidler slides safely into third on her two-run triple during Wednesday's Bicentennial League victory over New Hope-Solebury.
The PIAA put the mercy rule into effect a while ago to make sure that no team runs the score up on another team.
While it is a good rule, what does it do for the winning team that has gone out and scored a lot of runs, goals, points, etc., to get the win?
Well, you could probably get an answer from Christopher Dock softball coach Wayne Benner. His Pioneers put a 16-0 hurting on New Hope-Solebury Wednesday for Dock’s second Bicentennial Athletic League victory of the season and third win overall.
