BOYS LACROSSE: Norristown blanks Cheltenham

For Montgomery Media / ADRIANNA HOFF Norristown's Tom Lenartowitz darts behind Cheltenham's Brian Bohr during Tuesday's Suburban One American Conference action.
Norristown High’s boys lacrosse team entered Tuesday afternoon’s game with no wins, no varsity nets on the field and missing four starters that didn’t return to the playing field following an early dismissal from school.

But the Eagles did have hope, thanks to the equally dismal fortunes of their opponents, the Panthers of Cheltenham, who had no wins, no preseason and no head coach until a week before their season began.

Ignoring their unenviable plight, the Eagles, with a lineup dotted with junior varsity players, came up with a winning effort. And led by Sean Calhoun’s five goals and one assist, Drew Baltrus’ two goals and four assists and Sean Myers’ four-save shutout, Norristown blanked Cheltenham, 13-0, for its first win of the season.
