BASEBALL: Faith Christian battles past Phil-Mont Christian

For Montgomery Media / SUSAN KEEN Faith Christian's Josh Groff releases a pitch during Tuesday's Bicentennial League action against Phil-Mont Christian.
Good pitching and clutch hitting is normally a recipe for success in baseball. Faith Christian was fortunate enough to have both against Phil-Mont Christian.

Faith won 8-3 on the heels of Josh Groff’s complete game, 11-strikeout effort. The Lions used a big four-run second inning to take control and never looked back. With eight runs on eight hits, including four for extra bases, Faith seems to be back on track after starting 2-3.
