GIRLS BASKETBALL: Upper Perkiomen spoils C.Dock's Senior Night

The flowers, balloons and gift baskets were all for her. Christopher Dock’s Shea Neal never feels the pressure of athletics, but as the lone senior on the girls’ basketball team she did feel a bit obligated to perform on her night.

The entire team came out a little timid on Thursday against Class AAA school Upper Perkiomen and never could catch up from their slow start. Also the Indians’ senior Stacey Auckland was in the midst of making it her night. In the 49-35 non-league win, Auckland scored 17 points, including the 1,000th point of her career.

“We obviously had issues when we went man-to-man containing (Auckland),” Dock coach Tim Ehst said. “Unfortunately we were unable to hit enough of our open shots in order to get even.”
