GIRLS BASKETBALL: Spring-Ford rolls past Tennent
The game plan was simple in Spring-Ford’s opening game of the District 1 Class AAAA girls basketball playoffs on Saturday afternoon.
The Rams wanted to pressure No. 32 William Tennent to force them to make mistakes and then take advantage of those mistakes.
Mission accomplished.
The top-seeded and defending district champion Rams forced 38 Panthers’ turnovers on the day, including 13 in the first quarter alone, and jumped out to a 22-4 lead after just one quarter and cruised to a 70-32 victory in first-round action.
