BOYS BASKETBALL: Knights topple Pennridge

For Montgomery Media / MARK C. PSORAS North Penn's Mike Swanson cuts past Pennridge's Alex Krivda during Thursday's Suburban One Continental Conference game.
After the North Penn boys basketball team collected its seventh-straight win Thursday night, senior Stephan Brown has no doubts about the Knights’ postseason plans.

“We made it,” the senior said. “We had a real, real shaky start — 5-10. We’re way better than we were. Everyone’s turned up (the) defense, selfishness went way down, moving the ball around. I think we (are) underdogs — we deserve to be there now.”

North Penn can feel confident of its place in the 32-team District One Class AAAA tournament field as it jumped out to an early double-digit lead against visiting Pennridge and rolled to a 72-56 Suburban One League Continental Conference victory on Senior Night.
