WRESTLING: Pennridge tops CB South, claims piece of Continental crown

For Montgomery Media / MARK C. PSORAS Pennridge's Andrew Reinhold controls Central Bucks South's Josh Berg in their 195-pound bout during Wednesday's Suburban One Continental Conference meet.
The Pennridge and Quakertown communities barely enjoy sharing the same road, let alone something as coveted as a wrestling conference championship. However Wednesday night, sharing was better than nothing at all. With a 37-26 win over Central Bucks South, the Rams guaranteed a share of the Suburban One Continental Conference championship.

Quakertown secured its half of the title with a 54-18 win over Central Bucks West Wednesday, however the Rams did top the Panthers twice during the regular season.

“I am just really excited we won the league title,” Rams senior Josh Stencler said. “I guess technically we share with Quakertown, but we beat them twice. They can say whatever they want, I don’t care, but in my mind we won the league title.”
