BOYS BASKETBALL: Souderton tops Quakertown, clinches tie for Continental crown

For Montgomery Media / GEOFF PATTON Souderton's Dan O'Hara is fouled by Quakertown's Brett Wolf during Monday's Suburban One Continental Conference game.
There are big wins and then there are BIG wins.

If you ask Souderton boys basketball coach Pete Chimera, the 57-33 victory over Quakertown Monday night was BIG.

And the reason is that it clinches a tie for the Suburban One Continental Conference championship with Hatboro-Horsham. Both teams finish the regular season at 11-3.

That is quite a feat for the Indians, who graduated four of their five starters from last year’s team which reached the state playoffs. But, on Senior Night, the new seniors came through.
