BOYS BASKETBALL: AFS eases past Phelps School

Just two days after surprising Friends’ Central with a remarkable come-from-behind win in the Friends Schools League championship game, Abington Friends started its run in the PA Independent Schools Tournament on Monday evening.

And just as they had done 18 times in their past 20 games, the Kangaroos came out victorious.

AFS received 11 points from three different players and 10 from two others in what was as balanced a scoring effort as you could ask for during an 86-69 win over Phelps School in a first round playoff at Abington Friends High School.
