GIRLS BASKETBALL: Cold-shooting Lower Moreland falls to Delco Christian
Usually a team will struggle when it loses its leading scorer and emotional leader. Delco Christian, however, got enough scoring and support to hold off visiting Lower Moreland 50-38.
The story of the game for the Lions was missed shots. Frustratingly for Lower Moreland many of their missed shots came in prime scoring territory around the basket.
“We had plenty of opportunity, we just couldn’t take advantage,” Lower Moreland coach Rich Becker said. “We missed at least four or five layups [and] our foul shooting wasn’t very good.”
