BOYS BASKETBALL: Phil-Mont Christian cruises past Calvary Baptist
Phil-Mont Christian’s rout of Calvary Baptist comes down to one simple fact: Phil-Mont came to play, Calvary Baptist did not.
“We came out flat and unfocused,” Calvary Baptist coach Matt Philbrick said. “We have to regroup and refocus before our tournament next week.”
The Falcons were up 20 before halftime and cruised to a huge 64-12 win. Led by Micah Baldez’s 16-point effort, Phil-Mont second early and often, and by the time the visitors knew what hit them, they were down 14-2 after one quarter and it did not get any prettier from there.
