WRESTLING: Pennridge eases past Souderton

For Montgomery Media / SUSAN KEEN Pennridge's Scott Parker tries to control Souderton's Kenny Le during Wednesday's Suburban One Continental Conference action.
When glancing at the score of the match between Pennridge and Souderton, it looks like a rout with the Rams emerging victorious 45-18. However, the match had potential be closer if Souderton did not give up points off forfeits and a couple of close bouts swung its way.

“Ultimately a couple of those tight matches [Pennridge] found a way to win,” Souderton coach

Tristan Boyd said.

The Indians were able to keep their bouts close, but the Rams consistently finished bouts the entire match. Pennridge set the tempo of the match with some key bouts early. Ben Ross (120) notched a 7-1 win scoring five points in the third period. Dylan Gerhart won a close 3-2 bout with a deciding two-point reversal coming in the last 30 seconds of the final period.
