GIRLS BASKETBALL: Upper Dublin survives Wissahickon upset bid

The best teams can win pretty or ugly. Although Upper Dublin has had many pretty victories en route to its 13-1 record, the Lady Cardinals’ game at Wissahickon was not one of them.

“I thought we made a lot of bad decisions in the first half,” Upper Dublin coach Morgan Funsten said. “We took poor shots and had some silly turnovers, it was ugly.”

Unable to get anything going on offense throughout the first two quarters, the Lady Cardinals came back from a six-point opening half to beat Suburban One American Division rival Wissahickon 27-16.
