BOYS BASKETBALL: CB South surges past Pennridge

The opening eight minutes went better than planned for the Pennridge boys basketball team Friday night.

The Rams scored the first eight points and led visiting Central Bucks South by as many as 10 before heading into the second up 19-12.

“I thought our first quarter, we played probably as well that quarter as we played all year,” Pennridge coach Dean Behrens said. “Our energy was awesome, we rebounded the ball extremely well.”

The script, however, quickly flipped in the Titans’ favor the next two periods. South outscored the Rams 36-12 in the second and third — including 20-5 in the latter quarter — to collect a 59-48 Suburban One Continental Conference victory and snap Pennridge’s three-game win streak.
