SWIMMING: GA eases past Agnes Irwin

In Tuesday’s Inter-Ac girls’ swim meet, Germantown Academy handled Agnes Irwin School like a pro bowler in pursuit of a perfect game. The Patriots were knocking down first place finishes in successive events the way a bowler gets consecutive strikes on the way to 300 — set ’em up, knock ’em down.
The GA girls started their home meet with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, touched first in every swim event from then on and finished with a convincing 102-76 conference victory.
The Pats took first in the 200 medley relay at 1:52.92 with the foursome of Rachel Zilinskas, Julia Pacitti, Carolyn Yang and Meagan Dollard. Zilinskas got right back in the water for the next event to win the 200 freestyle with a clocking of 1:56.42.
