GIRLS BASKETBALL: Crisler has grand night in win over CB South

For Montgomery Media / MARK C. PSORAS North Penn's Lauren Crisler goes up for a shot against Central Bucks South during Tuesday's Suburban One Continental Conference game.
Lauren Crisler drove hard to the basket, was fouled by a Central Bucks South defender, and then headed to the foul line for maybe the most memorable free throw of her North Penn career.

Her first shot fell through clean and the crowd erupted, as the Maidens senior had notched her 1,000th career point with 3 minutes, 52 seconds remaining in the third quarter Tuesday night.

"I was just trying to think of it as a normal foul shot, but that was hard," Crisler said smiling. "I knew I had all my friends there cheering in the stands so that was awesome."

Crisler, needing 13 points coming into the game to reach her milestone, scored a game-high 17 points in all to lead North Penn to a 44-29 victory over the Titans in a Suburban One Continental Conference game.
