Council Rock South and Abington squared off in a Suburban One National conference showdown. The home Ghosts were looking to rebound from a tough conference loss to Bensalem on Tuesday.
The game remained close for most of the contest, however, the Golden Hawks emerged victorious 53-44 with the deadly blow coming on a 9-2 run in the third quarter. South outscored Abington 16-7 in the frame.
“The third quarter just killed us,” coach Nadia Ducan said. “We stopped rebounding and they capitalized.”
