SWIMMING: Wissahickon, Plymouth Whitemarsh split
Having multiple swimmers from the same family on the high school team has become a tradition at both Plymouth Whitemarsh and Wissahickon. That tradition was in evidence when the Trojans hosted PW Wednesday afternoon in a Suburban One American Conference co-ed dual meet.
Wissahickon boys’ coach John High, whose team lost to the Colonials 95-75, swam at Wissahickon High — as did his sister Antoinette.
PW’s girls’ coach Amy Acquaviva, whose team lost to the host Trojans 101-69, swam at Plymouth Whitemarsh — as did her sister Ashley. The Colonials’ assistant coach Matt Golebiewski swam at PW — as did two of his brothers before him.
