WRESTLING: Norristown falls to Downingtown West
All season long Norristown High’s wrestling team has been strong individually, but with major holes in its dual-meet lineup.
Thursday at Bayard Rustin High School in the opening night of the District One Dual-Meet Tournament, those holes were exposed, and the returning dual-meet finalists fell through them and out of the competition.
Ninth-seeded Downingtown West used five falls to come from behind and defeat the Eagles, 43-33, and take the eight-seeded Birds out of the tourney practically before it began.
