WRESTLING: Central Bucks West decks Souderton
By Andrew Marcus
Between the forfeits and the mismatches, there were truly only a handful of bouts that were going to settle the Souderton-Central Bucks West showdown on Wednesday. The Bucks found back points at the best time and earned a 49-24 Suburban One Continental Conference win.
The score stood at 12-6 before anyone broke a sweat. The Indians did not send out a wrestler in the first two matches and the Bucks forfeited the third match of the evening. The first swing bout came at 138 pounds. Bucks sophomore Jason Douple kept an aggressive Bobby Jenne off the scoreboard and recorded a crucial 6-3 decision. Will Harper’s 12-7 major decision at 160 pounds was another improving Buck making his impact felt.
