Sydney Morse stole the show for the Norristown girls basketball team Friday night, not missing a shot until the third quarter and finishing with 19 points in the Eagles’ dominating 63-37 Suburban One American Conference win over visiting Wissahickon.
“She is one of our go-to girls,” Norristown coach Ashlee Harrison said. “She’s a really dominant post player, and we look to go to her on a consistent basis. I think tonight was a huge confidence boost for her.
Wissahickon nipped on the Eagles’ heels throughout the first quarter, eventually leading 15-14 late in the frame. A subsequent 19-0 run for Norristown, headed by Morse, put the game out of reach.
