The Christopher Dock girls basketball team turned up the pressure and got a splendid performance from freshman Lanae Hunsberger in earning a 44-37 win over MaST Charter Wednesday night.
Hunsberger scored a game-high 15 points and helped key a strong third quarter for Dock, as the Pioneers went ahead to stay in this Bicentennial Athletic League contest.
“Our pressure defense was a big factor in that,” said Dock coach Tim Ehst, whose team allowed just five points in a pivotal third. “Lanae was key to us tonight in being able to get some perimeter offense going and her 15 points was huge, really. (MaST) packed it in with a 2-3 zone and we didn’t have much of an answer other than what Lanae was doing.”
