BOYS BASKETBALL: Wilson lifts Wissahickon past Norristown

It wasn’t clear if Wissahickon boys basketball coach Kyle Wilson
was more elated or just plain proud when his team defeated Norristown 54-53 at
home Friday night.
In the end, it was his son, Chase, who put up the game-winning
shot and led his team to the most improbable of victories.
“I couldn’t be more proud,” Kyle Wilson said. “We had a plan
and we found ways to make plays and keep our focus.”
“Being the coach’s son can be tough,” Chase Wilson said. “For
the first few years I really felt the pressure, but now when I miss one or two
shots, I don’t feel like the pressure was all on me.”
Whether the pressure was on him or not, Wilson made the plays
that shifted the tides onto Norristown in the second half. As far as his
dominant 28-point performance goes, Wilson made four three-pointers that kept
the visiting Eagles back on their heels.
