BOYS BASKETBALL: North Penn edges CB West
By Kev Hunter
Stephan Brown cleaned a little blood off his elbow, celebrated with his teammates and savored the win.
"It was a rough game - glad we pulled it out," the Knights’ senior guard/forward said after Friday’s conference clash with rival Central Bucks West. "We needed this type of win for our organization. Coming into this game, we were like the underdog. We had to prove something."
The Knights used a balanced attack and a strong defensive effort to pull out a 43-41 victory over the Bucks in a Suburban One Continental Conference battle. Brown finished tied for the team-high with 12 points, and, like his teammates, wasn’t afraid to get a little banged up diving for loose balls.
"It was a good win for us - feels real good," he said. "I think we can become a better team than what we are now."
