PERKY LEAGUE: Errors cost Ambler against Trooper

Errors are part of baseball. One error in an inning could be quite harmless, actually. But four errors in the top of the seventh when the home team is up a run? That’s down right detrimental. Fielding miscues are exactly what cost Ambler the opportunity to move into fourth place in the Perkiomen Valley Twilight League standings.

Despite a very good outing from starting pitcher Rory Clemens, Ambler coughed up a one-run lead that it took in the sixth and couldn’t recover after Trooper's five-run seventh. The Rebels were lucky in many ways to be in the game for as long as they were, as Tribe starter Tom Urban only allowed one run over five-plus innings.
